Strayer University was founded by Dr.S.Irving Strayer. He set up a small college in Maryland called Strayer’s Business College of Baltimore City in year 1892. From the beginning, this college has built a good reputation for the academic brilliance and student service. The school has now expanded its educational programs, its services and its area from last 115 years. It has opened 47 more branches in North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland and Washington D.C.
When the school got the licensure to grant the bachelor of science degree in 1969, the school was renamed as Strayer College. College got the authority to grant masters of science degree in 1987.
